Just a short note to inform people that "Pickerings Limited", the company that maintain the lifts in Ballymun have withdrawn their services due to an internal industrial dispute today, Thursday 4th February, 2010. Your statement that pickerings lifts have 'withdrawn service' is untrue. If you ask the workers picketing they will explain that they have been instructed to do so by the TEEU NOT Pickerings lifts. As everyone knows, companies don't strike....Unions do!
ReplyDeleteThe men in Pickerings are actually on strike because the company are making engineers, with over 20 years service in the company, redundant in order to keep cheap, foreign, unqualified labour instead.I am directly affected by the lift in my block not working but i agree with honest hardworking people fighting for their jobs. the country needs more of them!!
